What can I say, I am officially obsessed with leggings. And I'll tell you another thing, these seriously awesome styles that many brands are putting on the market are not making it any easier to cope. It's actually embarrassing to admit how much I enjoy simply window shopping for new yoga threads, and by window I mean my computer screen window. I figured I would add value to all of the time spent by sharing my awesome finds with YOU. Here are some of my favourite brands and some of the trends happening right now that you should keep an eye out for.
Okay, so these are not leggings but I had to include them. Every girl needs her post yoga man repellent pants. You know, the kind that don't necessarily do your butt any favours but are the pants you actually want to live in. After working your butt of for an hour, you deserve a little comfort.
This brand was love at first sight. I immediately purchased two pairs and wear them religiously. When I spot anyone wearing a pair I am always jealous of their gorgeous print selection and complement them immediately because they flatter everyone. Seriously, I have never seen anyone look anything but amazing wearing them. I often found myself getting jealous of small children and the clothing that they get away with. Teeki has now made it okay for adult women to dress in ridiculous pants - THANK YOU ! This is a new print and I have added them to my covet list. How cool they look isn't their only selling feature, they are made of plastic water bottles. Each pair of pants recycles several water bottles. Don't believe me? Read here. Also, they dry almost instantly, making them a reliable pair of go to pants that re-enter your clean laundry cycle often.
These are great leggings. I have always wanted this print. I currently have the tie dye. They are super soft and comfortable. I usually prefer a higher waist but I like diversity in my wardrobe so these are a nice change. I do find myself adjusting them a little while practicing but nothing worth avoiding them for. I wear them for both hot and room temperature classes but definitely prefer them as room temperature pants. Tie dye and animal print are a hot commodity right now so rock them while you can. Unless you are like me and wear whatever you want when you want, definitely get them.
I don't actually own any Lole as of yet, but I know they are a reputable brand and I often find myself eyeing their threads on other yogi's. I do, however, love dance inspired clothing. Perhaps it's because to this day I still regret quitting jazz and ballet. I might not be a dancer but I might as well look like one. This also explains my obsession with unitards and body suits. All of which are cool right now.
Free People is definitely a brand that makes me drool. I also love that even if I sometimes can't break the bank for their clothing. I can afford their awesome lingerie and their yoga clothing is also competitively priced. These leggings are really pretty and flattering. Micro Floral Prints are a big hit right now. I have never been a floral person but now find myself magnetically attracted to them.
Lulu does it again. The colour is stunning and so is it's name. Mesh cut outs are everywhere right now and they are so much fun to wear on the mat and off. Just when I thought it couldn't get any better, I saw the waist line and my jaw dropped. These pants are what inspired this post and I can't wait to get my hands on a pair!
