There is no shortage of great blogs with mouth watering recipes and great ideas. I do find, however, that no matter how convenient and economical it is, reading a recipe from the internet just isn't as satisfying as from a cook book. My other problem with some of these wonderful recipes is that I have to spend an arm and a leg to acquire the ingredients required to produce one meal.
That's why I am head over heels for Oh She Glows. I had the chance to skim through it in the kitchen of Christie Preston, who is a fabulous host and all around person. The recipes were simple and the ingredients consistently overlapped throughout the book, and more importantly the ingredients were not too obscure. Simply put, I can find them, afford to buy them and none of it goes to waste.
So far my room mate and I have had the pleasure of eating the Walnut Loaf, Goddess Protein Bowl, Energy Bars, Oatmeal Chia Parfait and the Chia Pudding. They were all delicious ! I wish I had some photos but we were too busy inhaling everything.
Not only do I recommend this book but I highly advise everyone to stop procrastinating when it comes to making chia pudding. It is delicious, filling and SO EASY! Getting up for Cross fit and Yoga every morning can make for some messy breakfast attempts. You can whip up a Chia Pudding Parfait or a Chia Seed Breakfast Bowl in about five minutes, leave it in the fridge overnight, wake up and Eat!
